What you probably meant was: "La chicharra del trabajo"
What's exactly that of "bell work" in English, because "trabajo de campana" does not seem to be real Spanish. "Trabajo de campana" is too literal. I cannot imagine somebody saying in Spanish: "Tengo un trabajo de campana" or "me voy a trabajar de campana", so the person is the bell! @_X
HI! =D
This is my opinion.
The term "bell work" refers to those initial morning activities students work while they get in and are settling down to start the day. If I had to give it a name in Spanish, I agree with you that "Trabajo de campana" does not sound that great. I would call it either "Trabajo Mañanero" or "Trabajo Matutino", both refer to morning work, but I think that works better.
Good luck! =)
