How has the art making practice still life changed over time?

it has changed over the centuries by all different types of music. it probably started with someone hitting a stick against a hollow tree, but now we have Guitars and drums. it went from harps to pianos and sticks on trees to drums, composers to band managers, ect, ect. its changed a lot.
