If you are greatly concerned about the dog, take him to the vet. For a home treatment, take a pair od electric clippers and shave a small area around the spot. Using betadine, chlorhexidine, or other safe disinfectant, scrub the area with clean rags or gauze until clean. Start with a sewing needle and pierce just deep enough to reach the white part. If it begins to ooze, apply pressure to the area to remove all the infection. Otherwise, scrape the top part off so whatever is below is exposed. If it is a tick or other foreign object, remove it. Disinfect the area again, including the actual sore, and keep it clean and clear of infection until it heals.
