Why is tom robinsons left arm important to his defense in to kill a mockingbird?

one reason is because during the case they said that Mayella was beaten on her right side. which when you punch someone, you would need to use your left hand. this shows that Tom could not have beaten her with his left hand because he could not use it. One piece of evidence proving him innocent
