Is it legal to mix two species of animals together to make a new creature?

It isn't illegal, but it is pretty much impossible. There are very few animals that have the DNA structure to be compatible to mix with any other animal.

The two most common are the mule (horse and donkey) and some of the big cats such as Ligers (Lion and tiger).
