When do you neuter a poodle?

Depending on the age of the dog, you want to get them fixed before their first heat or in between their heats. You can get them fixed while they are in heat, but the procedure is more hurtful and difficult. You would want to contact your vet to set up the best time to get your dog spayed. My dog was 4 years old when she got spayed and she recovered fine. I only had her for 7 months, but she did go through 3 heats before I could get her in. Hope this helps.
