Who is the marvel character Wasp?

The Wasp superhero role has changed over the course of the story line. Originally The Wasp was Janet Van Dyne. She became gained her powers by being introduced to the "Pym Particles" granted her by Hank Pym, The Ant Man. The two became a superhero duo and also became romantically involved. They are also part of the original Avengers team, which Wasp gave the name.
