Where does vrael die in eragon?

He dies before the story. During the fall of the riders, Vrael is able to overpower Gallabatorix but hesitates to kill hime. Then he get slashed at his side, so he flees to Utgard Mountain. There, Gllaballtorix kicks his leg and kills him.
