Octopuses primarily prey on crustaceans, such as crabs and shrimp, as well as mollusks like clams and snails. They use their keen eyesight and ability to camouflage to hunt effectively, often ambushing their prey. Additionally, some larger octopus species may also consume fish and other small marine animals. Their flexible bodies and strong beaks allow them to access hard-shelled prey.
