Do rolly pollies need sunlight

Rolly pollies, or pillbugs, do not require sunlight to survive; they are primarily nocturnal and thrive in dark, moist environments. They prefer habitats such as under rocks, logs, or leaf litter where they can avoid direct sunlight. While they do need moisture to maintain their health and carry out their biological processes, they are adapted to live in places that shield them from the harsh effects of sun exposure.
