I once considered applying for a leadership position at work that would require public speaking and managing a team, both of which made me anxious. Despite recognizing the potential for personal growth and career advancement, I ultimately decided to stay in my familiar role because I felt more secure there. This hesitation stemmed from a fear of failure and the discomfort of stepping into the unknown.
