What does the phrase sending up timber mean?

The phrase is based in the Afro-American / Southern Christian church. If one were to pray a good prayer, or an extremely long prayer, you may here a person say they were "sending up timber". The timber will be used for the construction of there heavenly home....In other Words your home in heaven (however great or small!) is built according to how much time you spend in prayer.
