Are there any over the counter sedatives you can give a cat if it becomes irritated on a road trip that is liquid form?

i am not aware of any 'over the counter' cat sedatives. you can try googling remedies though? all else fails, just put the kitty in a carrier with a little blanket and cover it with a towel or something so it cant see out. it may calm them down.
