Without a doubt, Finnick is my favorite Hunger Games caachrter. Out of all the books I've read, I've only cried while reading two of them-and one of those times was during his story in Mockingjay. To read about everything he sacrificed for love-his privacy, his freedom, and worst of all, his own body-was simply heartbreaking. After giving up so much, he ultimately ends up sacrificing his own life and leaving behind an unborn son. In the end, his undying love for Annie and heart-wrenching transformation from a fierce man with an unbreakable veneer to a fragile boy ruined by the Capitol demonstrates that even broken people will fight to protect everyone they love and everything they believe in.
