Each area usually has a real estate board maintained by the industry to keep practices uniform and ethical. Agents are licensed by the municipality(s) in which they work and complaints can be made to that municipality.If you intend to make a formal complaint, make sure you have as much documentation as possible. Just claiming that the agent lied verbally won't work. You signed an offer to purchase or to sell and you are responsible for reading it before you sign.
