Which sharks can stay stationary?

Some shark species, such as the nurse shark and the epaulette shark, have the ability to remain stationary by using their pectoral fins to "walk" along the ocean floor or by resting on the bottom. Nurse sharks can also breathe while resting by using a method called buccal pumping, which allows them to draw water over their gills even when not swimming. Additionally, certain species can hold their position in the water column by using their fins to maintain buoyancy.
