What part of the world does sunflowers live?

Sunflowers grow in sunny warm enviorments but of course they don't just apear someone or something must plant them but if you plant them in a cold enviorment they are certain to die i sugjest planting them in summer when it is warm and sunny were they can grow healthy, strong, and produce a lot of seeds for you to eat or someone else or to sell. Do not plant them in cold enviorments it is not good for a flower any flower, if you do it is certain to die. :)
