Terms used usually to describe the living condition of shell fish like the Molluscs and Brachipods.

Infaunal meaning a shellfish, usually with a smooth shell, that burrows within sediment(burrower)

Epifaunal meaning a shellfish usually spined that lives above the ground(non-burrower)
