There are very harsh chemicals in toothpaste which are poisonous. If you turn your toothpaste tube over and read the warning label it says: "Report to a poison control center if you swallow it." You do not have to swallow toothpaste in order to have it enter your body. When a hear patient takes nitro glycerine they put it under the tongue which is a highly absorbable area. As you brush your teeth your toothpaste falls under your tongue. Toothpaste contains Propylene Glycol (Anti-Freeze), Sodium Laurel Sulphate (Engine Degreaser), Fluoride (A toxic waste product sold as a cavity preventer), etc. These chemicals will burn not only skin but also enamel. As the chemicals cause minute pitting in the enamel particles will collect and eventually cause cavities. This is the main reason people need to floss. Switching to a toothpaste that does not have chemicals in it is much better. If you can find one that has Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and or Sodium in it you will have healthier teeth with no chemical issues.
