What software apps do you use on a regular basis to support your education and your personal life?

The ones I use most are OpenOffice, email, Safari, Chrome, Adobe Reader, GNAT Ada-2005 compiler.

As I cannot use touchscreen interfaces, I don't have a Smartphone and therefore cannot use apps.
