What does el presidente mean in English?

"¿Cómo es el presidente?" means "What is the President like?" You are being asked for a physical description. I have been taking Spanish for 2 yrs now, so I think it means "who is the president?" "Who is the president?" would be "¿Quién es el presidente?" (I have been teaching Spanish for 23 years.)
