How do you tow a car using a tow truck's sling?

You hook chains or straps to the lower part of the frame or suspension and through the grab hooks on the lower part of the sling then place the rubber portion of the sling against the bumper/valance part of the car this will allow the sling attachment control the vehicle's forward and back movement and response to inertia. You then, depending upon your wrecker's configuration raise your recovery boom and or winch to lift the vehicle off of the ground. In extreme cases you my have to put lumber or other blocking devices under your chains to space the chains off of things that they may scratch or dent when the vehicles weight is applied to them
