Preditaion:

~Limits the apopulation so that density may not become a makor factor

~Allows the weak and diseaed indeviduals of the population to be preyed apon

~Improves the gene pool so that only those individuals with the best adaptations will survive

also the predators attack the weak species and leave the healthy/strong ones to live
