It really depends on the market you are shopping in, your credit, and the kind of car you want to buy. I would suggest going to a small town car dealership if you have the option, they seem to have the best deals right now. If you are in a position to buy a car outright, you can buy new cars from between 9,000 and 17,000 and be getting a really good, reliable car. If you are spending 30,000 on a car it is either a luxury car, a sports car, or a ripoff. :)
