There are big items that sell for a large profit, but not often. Let's look at Ebay, for example. iphones sell well on Ebay. New, used, refurbished, and locked or unlocked. However, unless you have access to a large pool of these phones, the most you can expect is a one-off sale.

My recommendation is to do your homework. There is a term called a "niche" market that successful sellers will tell you to scope out before you start selling. This will help you narrow your focus to a few or maybe one item that you can sell often for a good profit. It helps to have access to something that is either cheap or free and sustainable.
