The first international peace organization established during the period of 1914-1918 is the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Founded in 1863, it gained prominence during World War I for its humanitarian efforts. Although the League of Nations was created after the war in 1920 to promote peace, the ICRC laid the groundwork for international humanitarian law and cooperation.
