Why is the leatherback turtle near extinction?

Leatherbacks are threatened species for several reasons:

1. Leatherback Turtles are endangered from plastic waste in the water. The turtles swallow floating plastic bags thinking they are jellyfish. This causes them to suffocate.
2. Overfishing
3. People kill them for their shells to make products
