Dragon fruit originates in Mexico, Central and South America.

It is distributed from those places and, South-East Asia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Southern China, and Israel.

**actually Israel grows its own dragon fruits and has played a major rule in developing new and improved varieties. it does originates from Mexico though.
