Who started Armenian Genocide?

The Armenian Genocide was initiated by the Ottoman Empire during World War I, particularly starting in 1915. The Young Turks, a nationalist political group that came to power in the empire, orchestrated the mass deportation and extermination of Armenians, whom they viewed as a threat to the state.
