What causes black runny stool in a dog?

You do not say if your dog shows any other symptoms or any discomfort. I am not saying this is the only cause but black stool could indicate internal bleeding, specifically in the stomach. If your dog seems off in any way, to be on the safe side, please take your pet to a vet AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
