un sabot (masc.) is a wooden shoe (a clog). Les sabots de Noël would be translated "the Christmas clogs", which does not really mean anything.

It's more likely to be "les cadeaux de Noël" (the Christmas gifts), although in the countryside a century ago, clogs were put besides the chimney on Christmas Eve, instead of stocking or socks.
