Why don't they call Solomon Jedidiah?

Solomon is often referred to by his name rather than Jedidiah because "Solomon" is the name he is most widely known by and used in biblical texts. While "Jedidiah," meaning "beloved of the Lord," was given to him by the prophet Nathan, it is less commonly used in historical and religious contexts. Additionally, Solomon's reign and legacy as a wise king and builder of the Temple in Jerusalem have overshadowed the significance of his other name. As a result, "Solomon" has become the dominant identifier in both religious and secular discussions.
