What is the 3rd and 2nd gear for on my peugeot automatic 206 lx its 2001 Y reg?

its for when your towing a broken down vehicle and with it being an automatic it will change its gear automatically so you use the first and second gear to drive the car when pulling another vehicle other wise you might have to spend money on getting a new automatic gear box witch are very costly.
