That would be so unusual that birders from all over the country would be flocking to see it. It is probably a Northern Flicker. They are very similar in appearance (although a different species), and there is a yellow shafted race that is even more so. See the link below. Check red bellied woodpecker. It is a close cousin to the golden fronted and is very similar in appearance. It is not common in your area, but is present, and looks much more like a golden fronted than a flicker does.
