How do you abbreviate the word service?

In the military it is abreviated as SVS. Basically, an abbreviation leaves out all vowels in the given Word and keeps three to five of the main conscenants unless the vowel is essential for understanding the correct Word.

Examples: Civilian - CIV, President - PRES, Limited - Ltd, Incorperated - Inc.
