How long did the Colossus of Rhodes last?

The Colossus of Rhodes stood tall for a measly 56 years before it got knocked down by an earthquake in 226 BC. So much for being one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, huh? Just goes to show, even colossal statues have an expiration date.
