If you write a story using Microsoft word will there be the same amount of pages in it if it gets turned into a book or will there be more pages?

there will be more, probably. it depends on what font size you use. if your font is big, then the amount of pages it will turn out to be in a proper book form will not be as many as you thought. it is very hard to say, but if you have Word 2003 like me the there is a handy little button i use all the time at the bottom of the screen. it is a tiny little button with a book on it and if you press it it will show you what the pages would look like in proper book form. the publisher will determine what size writing in a book they will use for your story. what you really want to consider is how many Words you have written. a book for adults is usually about 100,000 Words long and a book for children or young adults are normally about 45,000 Words long. short stories for magazines are normally about 2000 to 3000 Words long.
