Where had deed Scott lived before returning to Missouri?

Dred Scott had lived in Illinois and the Wisconsin Territory before returning to Missouri. He was taken to Illinois by his owner, where slavery was prohibited, and then later to the Wisconsin Territory, which also prohibited slavery. After these experiences, he returned to Missouri, where he ultimately sought legal recourse for his freedom.
