Why do we have 365 days in a year?

We have 365 days in a year because that is the approximate time it takes for the Earth to complete one full orbit around the Sun. This period, known as a solar year, is about 365.24 days. To account for the extra fraction of a day, we add an extra day, February 29, every four years, creating a leap year with 366 days. This system helps keep our calendar aligned with the Earth's position in its orbit.
