How do you reset the warning lights after jump starting a 2000 Avalon?

Sometimes a code reader can re-set. I had the problem of the computer not re-setting and consulted the factory mechanics manual. It required 4 miles of constant driving at 50 mph, then 11 minutes varying between 40 and 50 mph. Then stop, turn off ignition, turn on ignition and repeat. It worked for me - and I was able to pass smog.
