How do you change an ignition switch on a Yamaha v star 650 I have broken the key inside and have removed the cover and 2 bolts. Is there anything more holding it in?

Take a small fish hook and bend it straight and you can ususlly work it in between the broken key and the hook barb on the end will usually pull the broken key out. If the hook breaks when you straighten it out you may have to heat the bend to anneal the hook. Give this a try and nothing ventured nothing gained. I hope this helps you
