The sum of all the angles of a figure with n corners is (n*180*-360)

triangle: 180 degrees

tetragon: 360 degrees

pentagon: 540 degrees

So each of the inside angles of a regular pentagon measures 540/5=108 degrees.

The exterior angle is thus 360-108= 252 degrees.
