Who gave the Americas the term the new world?

The term "New World" was popularized by European explorers and writers during the Age of Exploration, particularly in reference to the Americas. It is often attributed to the Italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci, whose writings in the early 1500s described the lands he encountered as distinct from Asia, which was known as the "Old World."
