How often is the worlds fair?

World's Fairs, also known as Expositions or Expos, are typically held every five years. However, the frequency can vary depending on the type of event; for example, specialized Expos may occur in between the larger, general Expos. The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) oversees these events and designates the locations and themes for each fair.
