What would happen if you touched the sun?

If you somehow managed to touch the sun, you'd pretty much vaporize instantly like a snowflake on a frying pan. Just to give you some perspective, the sun's surface temperature hovers around a toasty 5,500 degrees Celsius. So yeah, not exactly a great idea for a high-five.
