What atoms does vapor have?

Vapor consists of molecules that are made up of atoms. The specific atoms present in vapor depend on the substance that is evaporating; for example, water vapor (steam) is composed of hydrogen and oxygen atoms (H₂O), while vapor from alcohol would contain carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms. In general, any substance that can transition from a liquid or solid state to a gaseous state will have its constituent atoms forming vapor.
