In Homer's "Odyssey," Penelope, Odysseus's wife, does not die during the events of the story. She remains faithful to Odysseus for the twenty years he is away, waiting for his return. By the end of the epic, they are reunited, and there is no indication of her death. However, later myths and adaptations may present different outcomes for her character.
