You should feel no fear towards the other person, if your feelings are sincere; if there is fear, of any kind, then that means that for all your feelings there is something bad about the other person, or, even, about you. Sometimes people can be so extremely selfish, should they fall in love the emotion is simply not compatible with their self-centered nature.

You should always be yourself. If he does not like you in that way then leave it like that. You can't make someone love you. If you try you might mess up your friendship with this guy and I think that it is better to be friends than nothing at all.
