What fraction is bigger 22 out of 25 or 4 out of 5?

Two methods;-

#1 Convert all to decimals.

#2 Convert to equivalent fractions with the same denominators, and compare numerators.

22/25 or 4/5

#1 22/25 = 0.88 and 4/5 = 0.80

NB 88 > 80

As 0.88 > 0.80 , then it follows 22/25 > 4/5

Since 22 > 20 , then 22/25 > 20/25 it follows 22/25 > 4/5
