Who shot who at fort Sumter?

The Confederate Predident, Jefferson Davis, ordered General P.G.T. Beauregard to fire on the US Army garrison on the island of Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbour.

The garrion was commanded by Major Anderson, who eventually abandoned the Fort.
